The Enigmatic Cache instantly retreats when I engage it in combat. I noticed that it only retreats back and forth between two of my systems with Gateways (Rurius and Rantemario). Thus, stationing two fleets in either system creates a never-ending loop of the Cache retreating from one system to the next.According to the wiki, it should always choose the player empire in a solo game. It chooses the weakest in multiplayer. I don't think that's the case. The text states it that way but I've had that event (once) and as usual, I was the strongest empire (barring FE).
